Please help! I jsut bought OD today, and WB isn't working correctly. I uninstalled all my freeware (including Alien GUIse) just to make sure nothing was interferring. I even turned off Windows Live OneCre to make sure the file came through with no problem. I dl'd from Stardock Central, and rebooted my computer after the install. I've tried 3 times now and get the same result. When I try to change the skins, XP reverts to Windows Classics (ugly!) and WB freezes. Here's my System info:

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.01 (build 40 x86)

I've even gone through old forums and tried the solutions posted in those. I can't get WB to work at all. I even uninstalled the entire OD suite, cleared the SDC cache, deleted SDC, wiped it from my registry, and reinstalled SDC. When I dl'd WB, I get the same result, except now I can't activate it because I've reached my Max Activation Limit. I refuse to give up because I paid for the whole suite of programs. I've email SD support and hope they can help me.

About the only thing I haven't tried is reformatting my HDD, but with 2 of them, I'd be forever. But I may try that anyway.

as far as i Know the Sd servers keep track of your activation count, until they reset it.. you will not be able to get it working.. reformating the HDD will do nothing..contact SD and let them reset the activation count..

That is not necessary. Just contact support@stardock.com for them to reset your download count.  It is not on your computer so reformatting would be a waste of time.

But something on my computer is keeping WB from running properly. I can't find any other instances of WB, so I don't know what the issue is. I'm wondering if something got left behing when I uninstalled the free version. when I did a search after uninstall, i was still coming up with 2 instances of screen.exe. Something is putting it there, but I can't figure out where it is......

That is why it is best to email support@stardock.com requesting they reset your download count and mention your issues with classic appearance. They will work with you to resolve this. Even though it's the long weekend someone from support will most likely be checking the emails.
